New campers are welcome
This trip is beginner-friendly. You do not need prior camping experience, but you should be comfortable sleeping outdoors for two nights and following group safety instructions.
A beginner-friendly, two-night camping weekend at Mew Lake during peak fall colour season. No previous camping experience is required, and we can help you arrange rental gear.
This is a designated, drive-in public campground—not remote backcountry camping. Shared drinking water, hot showers, and flush toilets are available. Electricity is available at selected sites and will be confirmed with the final campsite assignment.
You’ll still sleep in a tent and bring your own sleeping gear.

Our working plan is one participant per tent. Ontario Parks allows a maximum of six people and three tents per campsite, so we will reserve enough campsites for the final tent count.
Shared pots, pans, camp stoves, coolers, water containers, and safety supplies will be coordinated by the club. You do not need to bring a full cooking set unless the organizers assign a shared item to you.
You can still register. Tell us whether you need a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, or another item, and we can help arrange a rental. Personal rental charges are separate from the trip price.
For students travelling in a club-arranged carpool. This package includes the campsite, two group BBQ dinners, and carpool and trip operations.
Approved drivers receive a reduced event fee in recognition of providing the vehicle and driving. Drivers pay for fuel directly, and fuel is not separately reimbursed. With an estimated C$120–150 in fuel, a driver's combined out-of-pocket cost may be about C$160–200.
Whether you are a beginner, whether you have your own gear, whether you need rental help, whether friends are joining you, and whether you can volunteer as a driver.
